What is Student Financial Aid ?
Simply put, financial aid is a combination of 奖助金, 奖学金, Loans and Work programs that help you fund your education.
奖助金 是 financial aid programs that do 不 have to be repaid and 是 usually based on financial need.
的 Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based grants to undergraduate students who have 不 earned a bachelor’s degree to promote access to postsecondary education. Grant amounts 是 dependent on your family’s ability to help contribute to your educational costs based on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and your enrollment status throughout the academic year. You may only receive the Pell Grant from one school at a time.
EGSC credits the Pell Grant directly to your school account, each term that you 是 符合条件的.

FSEOG (Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant)
的 FSEOG is a need-based grant to help low-income undergraduate students finance the costs of their education. FSEOG awards 是 made to those students with “exceptional need” (those with the lowest Expected Family Contribution) and those who 是 also Federal Pell Grant recipients.

HOPE / Zell Miller 奖学金
Georgia's HOPE and Zell Miller 奖学金 是 available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement. 的 scholarship provides money to assist students with their educational costs of attending 符合条件的 postsecondary institutions located 在乔治亚州.
的 HOPE Scholarship requires a high school GPA of 3.0 or better and that you maintain 至少3分.0 GPA in college to renew the scholarship. 泽尔·米勒奖学金 requires a high school GPA of 3.7 or better, with a 1200 SAT or 26 ACT score.

Work programs enable students to earn money while attending school, to help cover 日常开支.
的 联邦半工半读的 (FWS) program provides part-time jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. 该项目鼓励 community service work and work related to the student’s course of study. Federal 直接 学生贷款 是 low-interest loans for students and p是nts to help pay for the cost of a student's education 不 covered by grants and scholarships. 贷款人是美国.S. 教育部. We encourage you to only borrow what is needed to cover their cost of attendance.
